We have a Swallow nest in our shed and I took this quick snap with the NEX (articulated LCD with liveview came in handy!). They're getting bigger even just in the last 2 weeks and can barely hide in the nest any more. I suspect they'll be flying in another 2 weeks.
And, in case you're wondering why I was disturbing them for a photograph: I disturb them anyway every time I walk into the shed and Mummy or Daddy inevitably swoops in, spots me at the last moment and turns around again. This has happened a few times and they haven't abandoned their offspring. I think they're smart enough to know that if they build their nest next to people, they have to accept the occasional human presence.
